The plot:

It means everything to have a sister. It's one of the world greatest gifts, and I know this because I know what it's like to have a sibling, and then not have one.

Sadie's secretly in love with her best friend Connor. When the lights go off at a party, she kisses him in the dark. The next day, Connor enlists her help to find his mystery kisser. Sadie is stuck in the middle, will she ever be able to tell him how she feels?

I started this book by chance, when I started reading books in English also on the wattpad and, although I hadn't picked it up for months, these days I said to myself "I have to finish it". I loved this book and Jo Watson's writing and storyline. Being a friends-to-lovers Sadie has always been crazy for Connor but in order not to lose him she avoids telling him, also because Connor has made it clear that he only sees her as a friend, nothing more. One evening, however, the two kiss and from there it becomes more complicated: on the one hand there is Connor who has not noticed any detail that evening and who continues to not see the way in which his best friend looks at him (despite if everyone has noticed), on the other hand there is Sadie who makes one wrong decision after another, starting from accepting to help him in the search for the mysterious kisser (or her!).

The book, however, does not stop to tell the story of Sadie and Connor, obviously seasoning it with flashbacks to make them understand the point of view of both, but also tells of personal growth. In fact, we understand why she no longer gets along with McKenzie, her twin sister, and we see their relationship heal and grow more and more or her growth in the relationship of Connor's parents.

Jo Watson with her simple and fluent writing style made the book smooth and quick to read, keeping you tied up until you finish it, especially the final part, in which a lot of maturity is shown by the two protagonists.
