The plot:

It doesn't mean you have to forget it but if you forgive them at least won't hurt so badly

She’s going to drive me nuts.

Nevertheless, her perky everything, endless legs, and innocent eyes will come in handy.

It’ll stop my family from pushing every country girl turned wanna-be Dallas socialite on me.

The town gossips will be disappointed she’s not another one of my fiancées that’ll never make it down the aisle. And they’ll be jealous when every man falls in love with her.

I’ll ignore everyone and work… except when she’s fueling my warped needs.

Although she did surprise me and negotiated a higher prenup for her silly cupcake bakery.

Too bad for her, I’m not a reckless billionaire—my attorney will find the loophole.

Once January 2nd arrives, I’m divorcing her.

Georgia and Sebastian's story begins with an agreement: Georgia agrees to marry Sebastian from December 1st until January 2nd. The reason for this choice is dictated by the fact that Sebastian is forced by his father to return home for a month during the holidays, otherwise the role, coveted by the protagonist, of CEO of the family business is passed on to Alexander, Sebastian's brother.

Georgia, a sunny and positive character, who embraces everything that life offers him and marked by the events of the past and, despite everything, awaits love with a happy ending. She stands out from all of Sebastian's previous conquests in that she is uninterested in his money.

Sebastian, on the other hand, is the opposite: an quasi-CEO who has now lost faith in love and who has decided to take everything lightly and live his life according to his work, in the hope that his father will retire as soon as possible.

Georgia seems to be the perfect girl for the role of fake wife (although his HR won't be thrilled: Georgia is a new intern) and Sebastian is sure that every family member will love her. In addition to her, her dream of opening her own pastry shop gives her a further input to accept the offer of her boss, despite the hesitations due to having to lie to all of Sebastian's family.

As expected, Georgia wins the heart of her whole family and, as much as Sebastian isn't happy about it, not even he's immune to her, because with his cupcakes and small gestures, such as trying to create a recipe for making sugar-free pancakes, she succeeds to tear down every wall he raised.

Holiday hoax is a funny, light, romantic story, a book to read in front of the fireplace with a cup of hot tea in hand. Set in the period of the Christmas holidays, although in reality there is little Christmas, apart from the scene of the Christmas tree and New Year's Eve. This because, following a misunderstanding that led to a quarrel, she had returned to Dallas, thus destroying all hopes of readers to see the first Christmas together, as an officially married couple. On the contrary, they spend New Year's Eve together but she leaves the next morning because she's still not entirely sure she can go on with him.

Although Georgia is described as an intelligent person with an eye for detail (damn it, she created the project of a franchise of bakeries all by herself without missing a single detail), in this case she just fails to understand that Sebastian's feelings are genuine and that everything he says to her, he means it, starting with his wedding vows and the unplanned honeymoon. Although in every story, halfway through the book, when everything starts to go too well, you wait for the exact moment when everything falls apart, in this story I was taken by surprise, because it all happened too fast: the day before they were in Iceland, the next she escaped with Sebastian's pickup.

Furthermore, the secondary characters added a little spice to the story, but above all I adored the relationship established between Georgia and Emma and Isabella, Sebastian's nieces, a genuine and real relationship as if Maggie Cole had in front of her a role model follow.
