The plot:

Nolan I don't need you to love me in private. I need you to love me in public for all the world to see.

When Bee Hobbes takes the lead in a squeaky-clean romantic Christmas movie, there are only three rules:

1. Don’t get involved with anyone on set. 2. Don’t tell anyone what you do for a living. 3. Definitely don’t get involved with anyone on set. 3b. Seriously.

Now, she’s filming in Christmas Notch, a small town with Christmas trees and festive tunes all year round.

But Bee’s got a secret identity to hide, and it’s not family-friendly. And her co-star, Nolan Shaw, an ex-boyband member infamous for his own x-rated antics, not only knows it, but is secretly her biggest fan.

When things start to heat up on set, Bee and Nolan must keep this steamy affair under wraps, or risk ruining everything . . .

A merry little meet cute is a holiday romcom centered around the story of Nolan and Bee.

Bee, aka Bianca von Honey, is one of the most interesting characters in the story who completely detaches herself from the classic blonde, naive and sinny: she's a curvy bisexual adult film star, who embraces her way of being totally and is sure and confident of herself. With the work that she does, however, she has to be careful with who she talks to avoid bringing this story to light. Due to an unexpected event, Bee is called to replace the protagonist of Duke the Halls by Teddy (aka Uncle Ray Ray), the producer of the agency Bianca von Honey works for. No one knows their secret and to be able to air the film (completely suitable for minors) without creating a scandal, this secret must remain so. In fact, one of the rules imposed on Bee is not to get involved with anyone, but above all not to have sex with anyone.

On the other hand we have Nolan, Bee's co-star, former member of the boyband Ink and known for his bad boy reputation over the years and which was one of the reasons why his singing career ended. At the moment he works as a costume designer in the country theater, to be able to stay in touch with the stage but above all to help his mother get the medications she needs.

Although the two don't really know each other, they both know each other's character: Bee has always been a fan of the Ink and Nolan has been her celebrity crush since the beginning of the band; Nolan, on the other hand, has been Bee's most loyal member of her ClosedDoors account for three years.

Both have to pay attention to their every move in order not to give themselves to journalists and both have received the obligation of chastity for the duration of filming by their respective managers.

But you know,no matter how much willpower you put into it, there will always be a moment when you can't hold back anymore.

This romcom is fun and inclusive, and Murphy and Simone's writing style is light-hearted and playful. As a book it deals with several themes: from bullying, both in regards to Bee's physique and work; to sexism, giving different weights to the actions of Nolan and Bee; up to the mental disorders suffered by Nolan's mother, giving particular space to each subtopic to create awareness in the reader.

Despite being a light book, however, it keeps you at attention, waiting for the moment when the two's relationship, Bee's work and Nolan's personal background are revealed to the whole world and put them in the spotlight (for all the wrong reasons though) .

Now we are just waiting for a sequel focused on the other protagonists: on Sunny, Kallum or Lucas and many others.
